3c Ultramarine (114). Pair, tied by unusual blue geometric fancy cancel, matching well-struck "Blackfoot City Mont. Jul. 5" double-circle datestamp on 1870 Montana territorial cover to Canada West, Foxboro receiving backstamp, right stamp slight bend from edge of cover, Very Fine, extremely scarce 1869 Pictorial use, only a couple other uses from Blackfoot City are known with this cancel and these are the clearest strikes we have encountered, ex Dr. Robertson
