FINE APPEARING UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1863 2-CENT NUMERAL IN DARK BLUE, WITH THE BROKEN "2" PLATE VARIETY.

The 2c Dark Blue on Bluish paper (Scott 17) was printed after Scott 18 and before Scott 20. It is one of the rarest of all Numeral Issues in either unused or used condition, and almost all known examples have faults.
