Honour's City Post, Charleston S.C., 2c Black on Bluish, "Cens" (4LB8b). Position 2, very late state showing dropped period after "Post" (nearly level with "Cens"), gap between "N" and "O" of "Honour's" and lower right pearl out of alignment, full margins to slightly in at left, manuscript cancel (lifted and hinged in place), used with 3c Brownish Carmine, Ty. II (11A), mostly full margins, tied by blue "Charleston S.C. Paid Apr. 12" (ca. 1852) circular datestamp on cover to Mount Clio S.C., carrier stamp has slight crease, still Very Fine and rare, ex Chapman (with his small handstamp), Caspary, Middendorf and Golden, Scott Retail as tied on cover $3,250.00
