H NO. 3 1 JUIN 67" octagonal datestamp applied on board the Compagnie General Transatlantique (CGT) steamer in New York harbor on cover to Paris, France, red "PD" in frame handstamp, sender's directive "per Steamer 'Europe'", this steamer sailed on June 1, 1867, and arrived in Havre on June 13, some minor edgewear, top backflap missing, small erosion spot at top left, still Fine, full covers with United States stamps cancelled by the French "Ancre" cancel are very rare
