5c Brown (29). Vertical strip of three, bottom pair uncancelled, scissors-separated with margins of surrounding stamps intact except at upper left where margin of top stamp slightly clipped, used on April 1860 blue folded cover to Nantes, France, sender's oval handstamp indicating New Orleans origin, the post office there did not cancel the strip, red "Boston Paid 3 Apr. 27" credit datestamp just ties the excess margin, leaving the stamps uncancelled, tied by ultramarine Havre octagonal arrival datestamp (May 12), matching "PD" in frame, another strike in red, French transit and receiving backstamps, the strip has been lifted to check condition, Very Fine cover, but obviously there is $3,750.00 Scott Catalogue value in two unused (no gum) stamps that should not be overlooked, ex Close, with 1972 P.F. certificate incorrectly describing one stamp as uncancelled (the middle stamp is also uncancelled)
