1c Blue, Ty. V (24). Horizontal pair with scissor separation on right stamp, used with 3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26), tied by "Terre Haute Ind. Feb. ?" circular datestamp on 1860 cover with printed address to Hong Kong, China, red "New-York Br. Pkt. Feb. 7" transit datestamp, manuscript rating, London transit and Hong Kong arrival backstamps, 1c pair with blunted perfs from placement over edge of cover and right stamp with small facial scrape, otherwise Fine, the U.S.S. Hartford was commissioned in 1858 and served as the flagship of the East India Squadron until being recalled for the Civil War where she served as Farragut's flagship in the West Gulf Blockading Squadron and was instrumental in retaking New Orleans
