5c Indian Red (28A). Deep shade in the unmistakable true Indian Red color, towards the deeper red end of the color spectrum, nice centering with perfs clear of outer projections on all sides, bold "New Orleans La. Aug. 17, 1858" circular datestamp, scissors-separated at top which slightly blunts a few perfs at top left (often seen on 5c 1857 stamps from New Orleans), still Very Fine, with 1985 P.F. certificate
