EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A PHENOMENAL MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 15-CENT 1879 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE, GRADED SUPERB 98 XQ BY THE PHILATELIC FOUNDATION.

This issue is often found in Mint N.H. condition, as several sheets have been broken in the past ten years. However, most of the stamps in these sheets are somewhat off-center, and examples such as this are very rare.

With 1993 and 2014 P.F. certificates (Superb 98XQ), the "XQ" stands for "Extraordinary Quality"
