2c Red (8). Block of five, carefully cut with ample even margins all around, tied by "Gainesville Ga. Jan. 13" circular datestamp on piece of brown cover, pos. 1 and 2 with light creases, pos. 3 tiny corner abrasion at bottom left, still Extremely Fine for such a rare multiple, the 2c Reds were typically cut into strips of five and singles for the prevailing 10c and 2c rates, blocks for the 10c rate -- because of their odd configuration -- were rarely used, ex Judd and Everett, with 1975 C.S.A., 1994 A.P.S. and 2014 P.F. certificates
