15c Brown & Blue, Re-Issue (129). Block of four, original gum, beautifully centered with intense colors and impressions, small faint ink spot between right vertical pairEXTREMELY FINE. ONLY TWO BLOCKS ARE RECORDED, AND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE WITH ORIGINAL GUM. A GREAT RARITY OF THE 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE.
The other recorded block, ex Ackerman, Lilly, Hetherington and our 1998 Rarities sale, does not have any gum.
Ex Worthington (described as having original gum; therefore, presumed to be this block), Bechtel, Zoellner and "Lafayette".
