Jul. 18 9AM" duplex datestamp and target on "American Journal of Science and Arts" corner card cover to Benjamin Smith Lyman in Yokohama, Japan, red "New York D Jul. 18" and "Yokohama Paid All Aug. 20" double-circle datestamp, receiving backstamp and writing in Japanese, tiny edge tear at top and couple small pieces missing from flap, Very Fine, a colorful 5c rate which probably dates to July 1876 before Japan became a GPU member (the treaty rate was reduced to 5c in April 1876)
