Five, each tied by clear strike of vivid orange-red "New York Sep. 5" circular datestamp on small cover to Nice, France, Calais transit datestamp (Sep. 18, 1876), Paris and Nice backstamps, docketing at left, stamps affected by overzealous cleaning with some nicks and scuffs, nonetheless a spectacular cover, the use of the red datestamp to cancel five 1c Ultramarine stamps is very unusual
