Intense shade and impression, tied by segmented cork cancel, red "New York Paid 18 Dec. 17" credit datestamp on blue 1867 folded cover to Cadiz, Spain, red "N. York Br. Pkt. Paid 19 Dec. 17" credit datestamp, sender's directive "pr China" and carried on that Cunarder which departed New York Dec. 18 and arrived Queenstown Dec. 27, blue Calais transit, red boxed "PD" and "8R" handstamps, slight toning around a few perfs, light corner crease at top right, still Very Fine, scarce use overpaying the 21c British Open Mail rate via France, unusual combination of 18c and 19c credit markings
