Rich color, tied by circle of V's cancel, red "New York Paid All Mar. 10" circular datestamp on blue 1869 folded cover to Cadiz, Spain, Gomez correspondence, sender's directive "Java", red "London Paid" transit datestamp, red "PD" in oval handstamp, "2d" credit handstamp overstruck by "A" handstamp with matching Cadiz oval receiving datestamp, minor edgewear and small tear at top, some slight toning around perfs from gum, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce franking overpaying by 2c the 22c rate by British Mail via France, the "A" handstamp is very unusual
