(Quebec to London via New York, 1788) "Quebec 8 NO". Brownish-black double-circle datestamp on back of folded cover to London, two strikes of brownish-black "JA/2/89" circular receiving datestamp, manuscript "1/-" packet charge, reinforced along split file fold (not affecting appearance), Very Fine, this was routed through New York City (the Great North Post) as usual for the months from October through March, illustrated in Boggs (p. 21) and American Philatelist (Nov. 1973)
