2c Green (3). Horizontal strip of three, ample margins to touched, creased in middle, used with single 5c Light Blue, Local (7), all stamps tied by "Orange C.H. Va." circular datestamp on turned cover to Treasury Department at Richmond, inside franked with pair of 5c Light Blue, De La Rue (6), addressed to Mrs. Slaughter at Orange C.H. but without postal markings, 5c stamp small scuff, cover missing top flap and other flaps reattached, edge wearFINE APPEARING AND RARE COMBINATION USE OF A STRIP OF THE 2-CENT LITHOGRAPH AND THE 5-CENT TYPOGRAPH, REPRESENTING A ONE-CENT OVERPAYMENT OF THE 10-CENT RATE.
The inside would seem to have been sent to its recipient at Orange C.H., but the lack of postal markings suggests carriage outside the mails. With 2007 C.S.A. certificate as a genuine use but declining opinion on the origin of the interior pair of No. 6
