Eight items, incl. three large die proofs off card, left margin block of four and four singles, two different "essay" types, most with "ABNC" in corners and "American Bank Note Company New York" banner, two with blank banner and corners, different colors, a few flaws incl. small hole and crease in the block, Very Fine appearance, these are probably samples of the ABNCo. engraver's and printer's handiwork, the central vignette is attributed to the work of Danforth, Bald & Co. (see Scott Nos. 11-E10 to 11-E13)
