Single tied on folded letter by strike of a violet handstamp with well-struck corresponding "Correos, Guatemala, ABR 26 1883" octagonal datestamp at right, addressed to Bordeaux, France, French arrival backstamp, light horizontal file fold not affecting stamp, Very Fine, signed Calves, the 20c paid the double foreign letter rate and is a particularly scarce franking as less than ten are known on cover, the letter is written by Arthur Roudier who was the Consul for Venezuela at Boston and is discussing the shipment of cases of wine
