LIBERIA, 1941, 50c on 1c to $1.00 First Flight Air Post (C17-C26). Some Mint N.H., others lightly hinged, beautiful rich colors throughoutVERY FINE. A HIGHLY DESIRABLE SET OF THESE RARE AND UNDERVALUED AIR POST STAMPS. NO MORE THAN 42 SETS CAN EXIST.
This set was issued for the proposed 1941 first flight from Liberia to the United States. It was postponed due to World War II. Most of the issued stock was used on the later flight. Unused copies are especially rare. According to Sanabria, only 42 of the 50c on 3c and 43 each of the 50c on 1c and 50c on 2c were issued.
Each stamp signed. The key 50c on 1c and 50c on 20c signed A. Brun and with 1965 B.P.A. certificates.
