Brattleboro Vt., 5c Black on Buff (5X1). Position 4, large margins to full, cancelled by red "PAID" handstamp, second strike at left, matching "Brattleboro Vt. Oct. 10" (1846) circular datestamp on bluish folded cover to L. B. Woodruff in New York City, stamp with tiny indentations on left side of signature vignette, cover with trivial age spots, toned spot on backEXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. A FRESH AND ATTRACTIVE COVER WITH A FOUR-MARGIN EXAMPLE OF THE BRATTLEBORO POSTMASTER'S PROVISIONAL. ONLY NINETEEN COVERS ARE RECORDED.
