Rich color on bright paper, cancelled solely by red "New York Supplementary Mail" Type D circular datestamp, wide margins, Extremely Fine, a scarce cancel on this issue, this Supplementary Mail datestamp is recorded on covers dated in 1873-74, which makes this an earlier example or a late use of the stamp, ex Koppersmith, with 1980 P.F. certificate
