Sale 1068, Lot 798, U.S. Possessions: Philippines, 1934-43PHILIPPINES, 1944, 16c Dark Blue, 20c Light Olive Green, "Victory" Ovpt. (480, 481). Latter with plate no. 131583 selvage at bottom, used with 6c Golden Brown (487) on 2c Green on buff entire (U20), tied by "Angeles, Papanga P.I. May 21" duplexes, unaddressed, 20c significant tear, otherwise Very Fine and colorful, also incl. second cover with 16c Dark Blue (480), tied by "Tacloban, Leyte Dec. 27 (1944)" duplex datestamp on cover to a U.S. Army private, bottom right corner of stamp torn off and re-affixed, otherwise Very Fine and scarce used on cover, only 24 are recorded in the Brewster census, with 2003 A.P.S. certificate before the damage occurred
