Bottom imprint and plate no. 1338 block of six with wide selvage, tropicalized original gum and few toned specks, few sensibly reinforced perf separationsFINE-VERY FINE. A SCARCE IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER BLOCK OF THE 10-CENT TYPE II WITH PHILIPPINES OVERPRINT.
The 10c Type II is one of the scarcest of the Philippines 1899 Overprinted Issue in plate block form. The wide bottom plate number block in our Whitpain sale realized $12,000 hammer.
