EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 15-CENT 1879 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.

This issue is often found in Mint N.H. condition, as several sheets have been broken in the past ten years. However, most of the stamps in these sheets are somewhat off-center, and examples such as this are very rare.

With 2013 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $9,000.00). Only one has graded higher to date (at 100, offered in our Whitman sale), and only two others share this grade. This statistic has not changed since 2009.
