Jul. 28" double-circle datestamp on cover to Buffalo N.Y. with red and blue "Southern Menagerie is Coming" Civil War caricature cover depicting circus animals such as "The Striped Davis" and "The Old Bear-Re-Gard", small trivial scuff affects circular datestamp, Very Fine, this is the only example of a circus-themed Civil War design we have ever encountered, a marvelous rarity
