15c Dark Blue, Die Essay on Light Scarlet Safety Paper, Type 11 Underprint (129-E5). 31 x 30mm, horizontal underprint, wonderful depth of color, small translucent spot, Very Fine, ex Earl of Crawford, the Scott listings for Nos. 129-E4, 129-E5 and 129-E9 are inconsistent and should be revised, the first two are the same underprint (Brazer and Rose Type 11) and differ only in horizontal vs. vertical orientation and intensity of the shade -- as such they should be combined into one listing as is done with other types
