Bowling Green K.Y. Oct. 29 (1861). Bold blue circular datestamp with inverted date, manuscript "Due 10" with "10" changed to "5", on cover to Columbus Miss., soldier's endorsement at top "C.C. Malone, Co. K, 14th Miss. Regt." (Beauregard Rifles), with original letter (split in two) in which Malone writes of his company being reduced by sickness, very cold and in need of shoes, some minor edge toning, Very Fine use with original content from the Confederate post office at Bowling Green (occupied Sep. 18), ex Felton
