Folded letter from Samuel Webb, noted abolitionist, discussing an upcoming convention, mentioning "the right of suffrage", also mentions that the committee is "out of funds and almost out of heart on that account, in other respects our work goes bravely on.", dated Nov. 17, 1837, inside with printed circular for National Enquirer asking for funds, blue "Philada Pa. Sep. 7" circular datestamp and manuscript rate, to Montrose Pa., paper with nice watermark of flying dove, some toning, two leaves separated and rejoined, piece out of one flap, still Very Fine and an interesting item
