Bright color, tied by "Paid" in circle handstamp, red "Boston Ms. Apr. 18, 1859" circular datestamp on cover to New York, with original enclosure which states in part "If you think of it when you see Charles Brace, will you ask him if he has any foreign letters from any place but England, & if he would let Pat have the postage stamps if it is not too much trouble to take them off.", Very Fine, this is the earliest reported U.S. letter referencing stamp collecting, sent to Mrs. Asa Gray, wife of the famous botanist
