2c Red Brown, I. Grill (135A). Original gum, lightly hinged, several rows of clear grill points, rich color on bright paperVERY FINE AND CHOICE. A SCARCE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 2-CENT NATIONAL BANK NOTE WITH I GRILL. THIS HAS RECENTLY BEEN ELEVATED TO A MAJOR CATALOGUE NUMBER IN SCOTT.
The I Grills have been elevated to major catalogue numbers starting with the 2013 Scott Specialized Catalogue, taking their place with the other grill types such as the A, B, C, D, Z, E and F Grills.
With 2012 P.S.E. certificate (OGh, VF 80; unlisted in SMQ as an I Grill, though we expect they will start listing them soon).
