Perfectly centered with unusually wide and balanced margins on all sides, deep shade and proof-like impressions which shows every nuance of the detailed engraving, clear and unobtrusive strike of "Baltimore Md. Reg." oval registry cancel, P.F. certificate states that the ink at lower left is not part of the cancel but was applied to cover an abrasion (we disagree with this opinion and think that the ink is either from the cancel or the stamp printing), P.S.E. certificate states "it is genuine", Extremely Fine Gem, ex Tahoe, with 2012 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $11,750.00), as a sound 98 this is the second highest grade awarded, exceeded only by the Gem 100 Jumbo sold in our 2012 Rarities of the World sale
