Serial no. 377152, natural s.e. at right and bottom, deep rich color on bright paper, neat strike of purple oval cancels, small surface scrape at bottomVERY FINE APPEARANCE. A SCARCE EXAMPLE OF THE $100.00 GREEN SERIES 1940 HANDSTAMPED IN BLUE. ONLY THIRTEEN ARE BELIEVED TO EXIST.
Richard Friedberg records a total of thirteen used copies of this issue. Of these at least six have faults. We sold serial no. 377153 in our recent Scarsdale sale.
