5c Luxembourg, Reverse Printing of Flag Colors -- Dark Rose & Light Blue Over Black (912b). Wide margins, used with horizontal pair of 10c Jane Adams and vertical pair of 2c, tied by mute ovals on registered cover to Memphis Tenn., purple "Los Angeles Calif. (Metropolitan Sta.) Registered Aug. 21, 1944" and receiving backstamps, few small toned spots incl. one affecting a perf tip of the variety, Very Fine, a rare example of this variety used on a contemporary commercial registered cover, this is the only example we have offered since keeping computerized records and the Philatelic Foundation has never certified a used example, with 2006 A.P.S. certificate, listed but unpriced in Scott in any condition
