6c Blue, Re-Issue (126). Beautifully centered with extraordinarily wide margins for this difficult issue, gorgeous color on bright paper, neat strike of segmented cork cancelEXTREMELY FINE GEM. AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF THE 6-CENT 1869 RE-ISSUE IN USED CONDITION.
The 6c is the one of the rarest of the set in used condition. SMQ estimates that approximately 30 exist in used condition, and our own informal count concurs. The example offered here is easily one of the finest in existence -- most are either off-center or have flaws.
