Tied by blurry strike of Chicago registry oval, purple registered handstamp and Chicago Oct. 23, 1919 registered circular datestamp (on back) on cover to Siberia, Russia, Nov. 22 Vladivostok transit backstamp and two-line Russian language backstamp, clear strike of purple "Returned in consequence of circumstance of war" with San Francisco Dec. 17 transit and Chicago Dec. 21 backstamps, overall wear and toning, a fascinating cover undeliverable due to the ongoing Russian Revolution
