Pinckneyville MT, Feb. 2. Straightline handstamp with red manuscript "Free" on 1810 folded letter to the Secretary of War in Washington, datelined "Point Coupee 16th Nov. 1809", some splitting along aged file folds, otherwise Very Fine, scarce, the origin, Point Coupee, was up the west side of the Mississippi River, to avoid Spanish patrols this took 103 days just to make it to Pinckneyville
