Concord Bicycle Co. Public Messenger Service, 12-1/2c Orange Red and Gray Blue (unlisted). Wide margins to just clear at bottom right, natural s.e. at right, "F.H. Crapo Mgr" printed signature below design which depicts cupid on a highwheel, purple "Concord Bicycle Co. Concord N.H. F.H. Crapo Manager" three-line handstamp, two small thin spots in margin at top, Very Fine appearance, one of only approximately 10 copies known and the only example with the handstamp, an article by Gordon Stimmell in the April 1994 issue of the Penny Post (included) discusses Crapo's business activities from the early 1890's to 1897 and what little is known about the Concord Bicycle stamp, the exact dates of use for the stamp or precise nature of the service are unknown and no genuine covers are known, several of the recorded examples have severe faults, unlisted in Scott
