90c Rose Carmine (166). Original gum, lightly hinged, near perfect centering with wide margins, gorgeous bright color, small blue backstamp not visible from frontEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL-GUM AND CENTERED EXAMPLE OF THE 90-CENT 1873 CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE.
With 1976 P.F. and 2010 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, XF 90; SMQ $4,600.00). The blue backstamp does not detract from the beauty of the face of this stamp, but it did result in a grade reduction from 95 to 90, according to a note from P.S.E.
