Confederate States Covers. More than 30 covers, wide range of issues and uses from stampless through most of the general issues, begins with fascinating two page list of slaves and prices which appears to be part of a will, several other stampless incl. an Alexander Stephens free frank as member of Congress as well as two "Treasury Department C.S.A. Treasurer's Office" unused corner card covers (one blue), General Issues incl. Nos. 1 (three, one to VP Stephens and docketed on back by him), 2 (two, one huge sheet margins but faulty), 3 (Scott Retail $2,750.00, corner missing), 4 (two, one with pair on C.S.A. patriotic), 5, 7 (three, incl. pairs, one with Army of Northern Virginia grid cancels), 11-12 (five), 13 (on reduced large cover plus a second cover that once had a bisect), two Union patriotics franked with U.S. No. 65, also a group of Confederate Stamp Alliance ephemera incl. blocks and sheets of C.S.A. stamp reprints, convention covers etc., mixed condition with faults to be expected, overall Fine, an interesting and worthwhile group, Scott Retail just for the covers with stamps approx. $7,000.00
