Style with "Southern" curved, press-printed illustrated design on buff cover addressed to Lynchburg Va., top right corner missing and replaced where stamp once was present, about half of Danville circular datestamp drawn in, part of back missing, Fine appearance, footnoted in Scott under the regular 21XU listings, "Unissued...all recorded examples are envelopes on which added stamps paid the postage", an affordable substitute for the rare issued Danville Black on Buff entires
