30c Orange (38). Used with 12c Black, Plate 3 (36B), tied together by red "Philadelphia Pa. Paid Jan. 1, 1860" circular datestamp on blue cover to a naval address in Gibraltar, French transit including boxed "P.D.", receiving backstamp, bold blue "8Rs" due marking, slightly reduced at top and missing top flap, some ink erosion in address and from docketing, Very Fine appearance, extremely rare use to Gibraltar through the Philadelphia exchange office, the sender paid 42c for a double-weight cover sent via French Mails, ex Gallagher and Sevenoaks, with 2001 P.F. certificate
