12c Black (36, 69). Three covers to England, first with Pair No. 36, partly separated and tied by Harper's Ferry Va. circular datestamps on April 1859 cover to the Royal Manufactory of Small Arms in Enfield Lock, second with No. 69 used from Portland Me. to Stroud, last 1859 cover front only from Elizabeth N.J. to London (missing two 12c stamps, interesting array of paid and unpaid markings), few edge nicks and one stamp on first small flaws from affixing, otherwise Very Fine, the first a particularly interesting use which causes one to wonder if arms were ordered through the cover that became part of the target of the raid by John Brown almost exactly six months later
