Sep. 22, 1857" circular datestamp on blue folded prices current to Trie, France, red "New York Paid 12 Sep. 30" credit datestamp, boxed "P.D." handstamp, transit and receiving datestamps, few perf faults middle stamp, cover with some wear incl. splits and eroded spot at bottom, appears Fine, scarce use, this September 1857 cover pre-dates the March 1858 Red Brown printing (the shade is the 1856 No. 12 shade), Scott Retail for used strip of three off cover
