Jan. 27" circular datestamp on small 1858 cover to Metz, France, red "New York Paid 6 Feb. 6" credit datestamp, red "3" credit applied over "6" in datestamp, red framed "PD" handstamp, various transit backstamps, small cover tear at top, 10c short perf at right, otherwise Fine, extremely rare use, only one other cover is known used from Donaldsonville which is the block of four on cover to France, sent almost two years prior to this, ex Mayer
