III (26) and 5c Orange Brown, Type II (30), lightened manuscript cancels, neat "Newburyport Ms. Aug. 12, 1861" circular datestamp on cover to Calcutta, India, 5c tied by red boxed "Aachen Franco" handstamp, various manuscript rate markings, Alexandria, Bombay and receiving backstamps, some edgewear, 30c light vertical crease, still Very Fine, a colorful and rare cover to India via Prussian Closed Mail, signed Ashbrook who confirms shade of the 5c stamp and routing thru Trieste, ex Kapiloff, with 1949 and 1992 P.F. certificates
