Virtually all examples of this issue have either cut or perf cancels. We were able to locate four with handstamp cancels only (some are heavily cancelled). This is the sole unused example we were able to locate in our digital records.

The adjoining stamp, serial no. 8703, cancelled in the same manner, was sold in our 2012 auction of the Dr. Schauss collection. This issue is also not listed in Scott as unused.
