CANAL ZONE, Collection, 1904-1974. Fairly complete and virtually all unused on White Ace pages, quite a number of better items including Nos. 2, 3, 4-8, 22e, 23 (dark purple ovpt.), 24c, 36a, 47, 48, 58, 59, 60-66, 70-81 (less 76), CO11 postally used, good postage dues, and more, the unused includes a few no gum, vast majority original gum with some later material Mint N.H., a fair number off the better stamps have faults and a few no gum, vast majority Fine-Very Fine, with five A.P.S. certificates, Scott Retail in excess of $6,000.00

Several hundred virtually all unused stamps from 1904-55, includes regulars, commemoratives, air post and postage dues, various quantities, also couple plate blocks, booklet panes and booklets, also a few air post first day covers and one better postal card, neatly housed on cards or in glassines, mostly less expensive material but there are some in the $20.00 to $100.00 catalog value range, some earlier issues with light tropical gum as normal, nice clean stock which is virtually all Fine-Very Fine

CUBA, 1899, 2c on 2c Deep Claret, Postage Due, Inverted Surcharge (J2a). Rich color, unobtrusive cancel leaves the error clearly visible, some staining and small thin spotFINE APPEARING EXAMPLE OF THE CUBA 2-CENT ON 2-CENT POSTAGE DUE WITH INVERTED OVERPRINT. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN.
The example offered here is in better condition than most of the few other known examples of this U.S. Possessions rarity. With 1982 P.F. certificate

GUAM, World War I Prisoner of War Cover. "Guam Guam Jan 2 5 1917" circular datestamp, ms. "Prisoner of war mail" on cover to Germany, the reverse with printed three-line "Opened By Censor. P.W. 340" and "Manila P.I. Feb. 3, 1917" transit, Very Fine, when the U.S. declared war on Germany on April 7, 1917, and ordered the S.M.S. Cormoran to surrender, the crew refused and scuttled the ship, also includes a postcard dated from a crew member on the Cormoran, message in German with English translation, ex Whitpain
