15c Brown & Blue, Ty. II (119). Well-centered, deep rich colors, Very Fine and choice, with 2011 P.S.E. certificate (VF-XF 85; SMQ $375.00)
24c Green & Violet (120). Choice centering with wide margins, rich colors on bright paper, cancelled solely by red Leaf cork cancelEXTREMELY FINE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 24-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE.
The high-value 1869's are scarce cancelled solely in red, as normally a black cork cancel was struck on the stamp. In our opinion, a 24c 1869 cancelled in this manner was used on a New York City Supplementary Mail cover.
With 2015 P.F. certificate
30c Ultramarine & Carmine (121). Brilliant colors, Jumbo margins, neat segmented cork and trace of red exchange postmark at lower left, Extremely Fine, a huge stamp, with 2014 P.F. certificate (VF-XF 85 Jumbo)
90c Carmine & Black (122). Bright colors, noticeable vignette shift which is strongly to the bottom and right, light diagonal crease, Fine, interesting vignette shift
1c Buff, Re-Issue (123). Vertical pair, intense shade and impression, bold New York registry oval cancels, pulled perf at upper right and slight shorter perf at lower left, still Very Fine, used multiples are rare, no blocks are contained in Power Search and this is the first off-cover pair we have offered since keeping computerized records, with clear 2003 P.F. certificate, Scott Retail as singles
6c Blue, Re-Issue (126). Original gum, lightly hinged, bright and fresh, Fine, with 1982 P.F. and 2006 P.S.E. certificates
24c Green & Violet, Re-Issue (130). Mint N.H., deep rich colors and proof-like impressions, long and full perforationsVERY FINE. THE 24-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL RE-ISSUE IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN MINT NEVER-HINGED CONDITION. A PHENOMENAL RARITY.
Due to the extreme rarity of 24c 1869 Re-Issue multiples, there have been few opportunities to harvest Mint N.H. singles from blocks. Our records and a search thru auction catalogues found only one other, with bottom selvage in Extremely Fine condition, offered by Siegel in 2005 (Sale 902, lot 1071, realized $27,000 hammer)
