1c Bright Blue, Reprint (40). Without gum as issued, brilliant color on bright paper, perfectly centered with unusually wide margins, long and full perforations all around, Extremely Fine Gem and one of the finest examples we have encountered, 10,000 of the 1c were printed (100 impressions) and 3,846 were sold, ex Odeneal and Gorham, with 1988, 1999 and 2007 P.F. certificates
1c Bright Blue, Reprint (40). Without gum as issued, radiant color, trivial natural inclusion at bottom left not mentioned on older of two accompanying certificates, Extremely Fine, with 2011 P.F. and 2003 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $825.00)

The Continental Bank Note Company made a new plate for the 3c 1857 Reprint, consisting of 100 subjects. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). 479 of the 3c were sold, and the remaining 9,521 were destroyed on July 23, 1884, by order of the Postmaster General.
A review using Power Search shows that virtually all are off center to some degree, and many have perforations touching on one or more sides due to the narrow spacing on the plate. The example offered here is one of the rare exceptions.

10c Blue Green, Reprint (43). Without gum as issued, intense shade and impression on bright paper, well-balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1857 REPRINT.
The Continental Bank Note Company made a new plate for the 10c 1857 Reprint, consisting of 100 subjects, using an original transfer roll. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). All are Type I stamps. 516 of the 10c were sold, and the remaining 9,484 were destroyed on July 23, 1884, by order of the Postmaster General.

12c Greenish Black, Reprint (44). Without gum as issued, beautifully centered with wide margins, deep shade and sharp impression on bright paper, full intact perforations all aroundEXTREMELY FINE GEM. ONE OF THE FINEST 12-CENT 1857 REPRINTS EXTANT.
The narrow spaces between stamps on the 12c 1857 Reprint plate allowed almost no room for large 12-gauge perforations, and the Reprints were generally perforated into parts of the design. Examples such as this, with the framelines complete on all four sides, are extremely rare.
With 2004 P.F. and 2012 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90 Jumbo; SMQ $10,500.00). This is the highest grade awarded by P.S.E. and it is shared by no others
24c Blackish Violet, Reprint (45). Without gum as issued, deep rich color and detailed impression, well-balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THE 24-CENT 1860 REPRINT.
The Continental Bank Note Company reprinted the 24c stamp from the original plate of 200 subjects. 10,000 were printed (50 impressions). Only 479 were sold; the remaining 9,521 were destroyed on July 23, 1884, by order of the Postmaster General. Due to the narrow spacing between subjects, many have perforations touching the design at either top or bottom. The example offered here, with unusually wide margins, is a remarkable stamp.

30c Yellow Orange, Reprint (46). Without gum as issued, brilliant color on bright fresh paper, exceptionally wide margins all aroundEXTREMELY FINE. A JUMBO EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT 1860 REPRINT. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE STAMP WITH SUCH WIDE MARGINS.
The Continental Bank Note Company reprinted the 30c stamp from the original plate of 200 subjects. 10,000 were printed (50 impressions). Only 480 were sold; the remaining 9,520 were destroyed on July 23, 1884, by order of the Postmaster General.
The 30c is one of the tightest-margined of the series. This is an extraordinary stamp, by virtue of its wide margins and choice centering.

90c Deep Blue, Reprint (47). Without gum as issued, deep rich color on bright paper, unusually wide marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION ONE OF THE FINEST AND WIDEST-MARGINED EXAMPLES OF THE 90-CENT 1860 REPRINT IN EXISTENCE.
The Continental Bank Note Company reprinted the 90c stamp from the original plate of 200 subjects. 10,000 were printed (50 impressions). Only 454 were sold; the remaining 9,546 were destroyed on July 23, 1884, by order of the Postmaster General.
This is one of the few 90c 1860 Reprint stamps we have seen with wide margins at the top and bottom.
