1c Blue, Ty. I (18). Plate 12, C Relief, original gum, faint trace of hinging, deep blue shade, unusually well-centeredEXTREMELY FINE. A CHOICE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1857 ONE-CENT TYPE I STAMP.
This is a scarce stamp in sound original-gum condition and better than Very Fine centering.
With 1999 P.F. and 2005 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, VF-XF 85; SMQ $2,900.00). Only eight hinged examples have graded higher to date (all at 90).

1c Blue, Ty. II (20). Unusually well-centered, barest trace of blue cancel, appears unused, Very Fine and choice, with 2002 and 2008 P.F. certificates
1c Blue, Ty. III (21). Plate 4, beautifully balanced margins and proof-like impression on fresh paper, nicely complemented by red New York City carrier datestampEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1857 ONE-CENT TYPE III, WHICH HAS BEEN GRADED XF-SUPERB 95 BY P.S.E. -- PARTICULARLY DESIRABLE WITH THE RED CARRIER DATESTAMP.
Due to the narrow vertical spacing on this plate, stamps are most typically found with the perforations impinging on a portion of the design. The example offered here is centered so that the type characteristics are clearly visible.

5c Indian Red (28A). Attractively centered for this tightly-spaced issue, wonderful color with a face-free light blue circular datestamp, small creases top corners, Very Fine appearance, with 1976 P.F. certificate
